Longtime Lompico Water District board of directors member Jane Wyckoff resigned Feb. 16 from the post she has held for more than eight years.
“We thanked her for her service when she left. She didn’t really tell us why (she resigned),” Lois Henry, president of the board, said.
The district is accepting applications to fill the vacant board position until April 7. Applicants must be a customer of the district and submit a letter of interest and a resume that highlights the applicant’s knowledge of special districts.
The appointment would be effective through the Nov. 2010 election, when the seat would be up for a vote. The terms of Chris Kilgus and Rob Hansel also expire in November.
