Step back in time at Agricultural History Project’s Second Saturday event

The Agricultural History Project Center and Museum invites the community to its Second Saturday event on Aug. 10, from 11am-3pm, at the Santa Cruz County Fairgrounds, 2601 E. Lake Ave., in Watsonville.

This month, the event is themed “Roundup at the Ranch,” offering a glimpse into the old west.

Attendees are encouraged to don their cowboy boots and experience a variety of activities reminiscent of the bygone days on the farm. Highlights include roping, tractor driving, wooden cow milking and using an old-fashioned water pump. These activities are designed to entertain both children and adults.

Families are welcome to bring their lunches and enjoy the picnic areas, complete with tables under the trees or open spaces for blankets on the grass. This event is perfect for all ages, and admission is free, with donations gladly accepted.
