The Santa Cruz Police Department is asking for the community’s help in identifying a burglary suspect who was captured on video surveillance inside the victim’s residence last Saturday.

With the holiday season upon us, California Department of Public Health (CDPH) Director and State Public Health Officer Dr. Karen Smith today reminded consumers about the importance of safe food handling to prevent foodborne illness. “Bacterial pathogens like Salmonella, E. coli and Campylobacter can be present in foods, such as meat and poultry, and can cause illness due to insufficient cooking, inadequate cooling and improper food handling practices,”

Dr. Ariana Ebrahimian was inducted as the President of the Monterey Bay Dental Society on November 20. She is reportedly the youngest person to hold that title. She worked in different positions on their Board for the past eight years and received accolades for managing their continuing education program for 2015.
