Community expresses excitement, concerns about Town Center Project

SCOTTS VALLEY — Residents filled the Scotts Valley Community Center Wednesday evening to find out more about the proposed Scotts Valley Town Center and everyone seemed excited about it — but still a little hesitant.

SLVHS Transformed into School of Rock for ’14 grads

FELTON — San Lorenzo Valley High has been transformed into the School of Rock for Friday night’s grad night with two shiny, 30-foot-tall guitars standing sentry to the entrance to the event.

Water System Work Begins June 16

BOULDER CREEK — Construction work will soon delay motorists as the San Lorenzo Valley Water District starts construction on the “Regional Water System Emergency Intertie No. 6,” connecting the SLVWD Felton Water System and the SLVWD North Water System. The project will allow the separate water systems within the District to share water supply resources during emergencies such as fire or natural disaster.

Beloved husband, father, and grandfather, Richard “Ernie” Poston died Monday, May 19, 2014. Poston was born in San Antonio, Texas in 1935. He served the public on the San Antonio police force after military service in the US Navy. He relocated to California in 1966, eventually settling in Boulder Creek.
