A family taking a hike along the San Lorenzo River near the picnic area in Henry Cowell Redwoods State Park on Monday, April 4, discovered the body of a 58-year-old man who had been missing from a residential care facility in Felton since March 23.

Felton Library scheduled to break ground in late summer

But there’s more than just a new library - the project will include a Nature Discovery Park in the wooded areas and around Bull Creek next to the new library that will be an outdoor environmental education center designed mostly for children. All this is scheduled to break ground late this summer.    

Library leaders delay decision

After hearing from about 40 passionate library supporters, nearly all of whom urged leaders to keep open all 10 branches in the system, the Santa Cruz County Library Joint Powers Authority delayed a decision on the future of the libraries.
