Scotts Valley's Town Center plan — a proposed upscale retail and residential hub — took a big step forward last week when the Santa Cruz City Council voted to approve the sale of 8.15 acres of city-owned property from the former Skypark airport to Property Development Centers.

Land Trust acquires Laurel Curve property for puma passage

The Land Trust of Santa Cruz County announced that it has completed a $650,000 deal to acquire 10 acres of land on the east side of Highway 17, near the Laurel Curve, with the intention of creating an wildlife underpass beneath the freeway.
