The Rotary Club of Scotts Valley provided an all-staff breakfast and checks for $500 to each of the four schools in the Scotts Valley Unified School District on Tuesday, Aug. 27.
A memorial and celebration of life will be held next Saturday for Jack Anthony Elzer who died peacefully at home in Scotts Valley surrounded by his family.
This summer’s third Music at Skypark concert will strike its first chords Sunday at 3:30 p.m. in Scotts Valley. The Joint Chiefs, a popular band based in San Jose, will open the show with a mix of funk, acid jazz and classic R&B. Jim Musich and Lori Loftus were married June 20 in a private ceremony at a beautiful secluded beach south of Carmel. Musich is an automotive machinist in Santa Cruz, and Loftus is a second grade teacher in Los Altos. Their home is in Ben Lomond.
