A contingent of approximately 50 community members, politicians, press, and local health care officials gathered on the steps of the Santa Cruz County Courthouse on Tuesday, Oct. 1 to mark the first official day of open enrollment for the new Affordable Care Act — colloquially known as “Obamacare.”
