State park to remain open with Sempervirens partnership

Only a few years removed from a grim prospect of closure due to state budgetary concerns, Castle Rock State Park, north of Boulder Creek, has entered into an agreement with the Sempervirens Fund that will keep it open at least through 2016.

Scotts Valley Police Department, investigating a threat to “shoot up” Scotts Valley High School last week, requested a search warrant from Santa Cruz Superior court Tuesday, April 16, to access Internet protocol addresses and user account information from Facebook.
