San Lorenzo Valley Water District will seek a significant rate increase that will be spread over five years to fund several major projects and cover regular increases in operating costs.

The Santa Cruz Sheriff's Office announced Thursday morning that alleged car thief and burglar Dimitri Storm was arrested by the Berkeley Police Department on Tuesday, May 7. Storm was using the alias James Prouty Rollston. He was arrested for burglary and resisting arrest. Storm is accused of stealing at least 10 cars and 40 cases of burglary across four counties, many in the San Lorenzo Valley area.
