Second “Mural in a Day” to take shape Saturday

The Regional Artisans Association’s second Scotts Valley Mural in a Day project will be painted this Saturday and Sunday, May 18 and 19 in the Kings Village Shopping Center.

Alleged car thief apprehended

The Santa Cruz Sheriff's Office announced Thursday morning that alleged car thief and burglar Dimitri Storm was arrested by the Berkeley Police Department on Tuesday, May 7. Storm was using the alias James Prouty Rollston. He was arrested for burglary and resisting arrest. Storm is accused of stealing at least 10 cars and 40 cases of burglary across four counties, many in the San Lorenzo Valley area. Storm's alleged crime spree began in March and he became one of the most wanted criminals in the county. This story will be updated
