A memorial service will be held this weekend to honor the life of Rose Marie Demler, who died Feb. 25 in Santa Cruz with her family by her bedside following a sudden illness. She was 57.

 

A new set of wheels recently showed up at the Scotts Valley Fire Protection District, as the department took delivery of a brand-new Type-1 fire engine.

The public memorial service for two Santa Cruz Police Officers who were killed in the line of duty will be held in San Jose on Thursday.

Services are planned March 23 for Charles Albert Discoe Jr., a longtime Scotts Valley general contractor, who died Feb. 20 at his home in Murphys. He was 95.
