Former Scotts Valley mayor dies at 71

A funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday, Oct. 27, in Scotts Valley for former Scotts Valley Mayor Joe Miller.

A memorial service will be Sunday, Oct. 28, to remember Felton native Carrie Marie Dianda McCoid, who died of an undetermined viral infection. She was 37.

Martial arts studio expands

A procession of close to 300 people, many wearing martial arts uniforms, will parade from Elite Martial Arts in the Scotts Valley Square shopping center on Nov. 2 to the studio’s new location in Kings Village.
