Olivet University is headed back to San Francisco.

The three candidates for the 5th District seat on the Santa Cruz County Board of Supervisors have kicked their respective campaigns into high gear as the June 5 election approaches, canvassing neighborhoods, meeting voters and having supporters display signs all over Scotts Valley and the San Lorenzo Valley.

A memorial service will be Saturday, April 28, for longtime Felton resident Renee Blendina (Romele) Kellogg, who died Sunday, April 15. She was 45.

Olivet University failed to close escrow today, the April 17 deadline to purchase the 72-acre Bethany University campus.

The first funding is in place to resolve a major rockslide that blocked Nelson Road in Scotts Valley last year.
