Macy retires after long recycling run

After 34 years of serving as the face of recycling efforts in the San Lorenzo Valley, Boulder Creek’s Nancy Macy is preparing to relinquish the reins of the SLV Recycling Center in July.

A Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated Friday, March 1, in Boulder Creek for Isabel Escamilla, who died Feb. 24 in Santa Cruz following a lengthy illness. She was 71 years old.
