A marathon session of the Scotts Valley City Council last week was long on debate and short on decisions regarding the Woodside project, a proposed commercial and residential development on Scotts Valley Drive where RVs of Merritt and the quarry once stood.

Heavy rainfall wets valley

Wet and stormy weather last weekend dumped more than 6 inches of rain on much of the San Lorenzo Valley and Scotts Valley, with high winds pulling down trees and knocking out electricity in some areas. Rainfall is expected through Dec. 26 before a letup.
