BOULDER CREEK — After a two-day search of Big Basin Redwoods State Park, a man’s body with a single gunshot wound was found by sheriff’s search-and-rescue teams Thursday, Dec. 16.

The Scotts Valley City Council had three choices before it Dec. 15: Allow and regulate medicinal marijuana dispensaries in Scotts Valley. Simply stay silent on the issue. Or prohibit dispensaries altogether.

UPDATE Dec. 16: After discussing the development for several hours at their Dec. 15 meeting, The Scotts Valley City Council did not make a decision and will continue the discussion at the January 19 council meeting.

Services will be conducted at a later date for longtime Scotts Valley resident Alex Innes who died Nov. 26 in Roseville. He was 83.
