Longtime Ben Lomond resident Lillian Schwartz died Dec. 30 in Ben Lomond at the age of 91. A graveside service will be in Paso Robles at a later date.

Thanks to recently expanded hours and the help of the Friends of the Santa Cruz Public Libraries, youngsters are finding more to do at the Boulder Creek branch of the Santa Cruz County Library.

Connie O’Brien of Felton was the winner of a free yard cleanup from Bill Mehlenbacher of Bill’s Hauling in a raffle at the San Lorenzo Valley Senior Center at Highlands Park. Mehlenbacher, who has been hauling in the San Lorenzo Valley since 1970, set up his annual raffle at the senior center earlier this month, and O’Brien’s name was drawn.
