Sign up: While voter registration has ended for the Nov. 2 general election, the final day to apply for a vote-by-mail ballot is Tuesday, Oct. 26. The Rev. Glennon Culwell, a longtime Scotts Valley pastor, one of the founding members of Baymonte Christian School and former mayor of Scotts Valley, has penned his second book, “My Life in the Potter’s Hands.”

A celebration of life will be Oct. 29 in remembrance of Robert Suhr, who died last week at his home in Scotts Valley. He was 91.
