Publisher files for reorganization

Tracy Press Inc., publisher of the Tracy Press and the Scotts Valley/San Lorenzo Valley Press-Banner, has filed for Chapter 11 reorganization in order to stabilize its financial condition while continuing operations.

Metro cuts change routes in the valley

The Santa Cruz Metropolitan Transit District board members also declared a fiscal emergency and passed a two-year budget that relies heavily on reserves at their regular monthly meeting Friday, June 25.

Sheriff partners with Mexico to ID remains

The Santa Cruz County Sheriff’s Office has joined forces with the Mexican Consulate to compare unidentified human remains and missing-persons reports in Mexico and Santa Cruz County in hopes of finding closure for cold cases, including several sets of remains discovered in the hills above Scotts Valley.
