Scotts Valley woman turns 102

Beulah Sutton stands just under 5 feet tall, with flashing dark eyes and white hair swept off her face. With her 102nd birthday just around the corner on Sunday, Oct. 18, Sutton plans to have a celebration with her son, Dallas A. Sutton Jr., who lives in Felton.

Flavorful fundraiser

Bargetto Winery representative Addison Morphy chats with Patricia Schroeck of Healthy Chocolate and a guest Saturday, Oct. 10, at the second Scotts Valley Wine & Chocolate Festival at the Scotts Valley Community Center. The wineries and chocolatiers split the proceeds with the Scotts Valley Senior Center, which netted $1,800 from the event.
