Cell tower application all but dead in downtown BC
Despite protests from Boulder Creek residents asking the County of Santa Cruz Zoning Administrator to completely kill the project, Verizon Wireless was given the opportunity to revamp its plan to build a 50-foot cellular tower in downtown Boulder Creek.

Don Higgins celebration of life Sunday
A celebration of life will begin at 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 4, in Scotts Valley to remember former Ben Lomond resident Don Higgins. The celebration and barbecue will be at the Scotts Valley Community Center, 360 Kings Village Road, in Scotts Valley. Mr. Higgins was born Aug. 3, 1943, and died Aug. 14, 2012.
