Norman Lee Carle

 
 On October 8, 2015 Norman Lee Carle, a resident of ScottsValley, passed away. He was born on February 19, 1924 to George and Iva Mae Carle.
In 1943 Norman was drafted into the U.S. Army and served on the South Pacific island of Moratai where he remained until 1946. After his service in the army, he became a carpenter. He built about fifty homes in the Santa CruzCounty area.
Norman is survived by his wife of 57 years, Lois; three daughters, Linda, Rhonda and Brenda; one son, Steve (Danelle); five granddaughters: Jessica, Courtney and Stephanie Carle, and Heather and Samantha (Cather) Keener; two grandsons: Danny and Eric Barbin; and two great-grandchildren: D.J. and Lyla. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Bob.
The family would like to thank all of the people who visited him during his last month.

A graveside committal service will be held on Friday, October 16, 2015, at 2:00 p.m. at OakwoodMemorial Park, 3301 Paul Sweet Road, Santa Cruz.
