Bob Cocilova, 70, died May 6 at his home after a long battle with kidney cancer.
He was born in San Francisco on June 9, 1943 to Robert and Edith Cocilova.
He was a firefighter, serving in San Bruno and then the San Jose Fire Department for 30 years before retiring as an engineer.
In Ben Lomond, he enjoyed the country life, owning horses, and cooking great meals. He enjoyed working around the house and entertaining friends and family.
He leaves behind his wife Helen of 50 years, daughters Christine (Delucchi) and Kimberly (Cocilova), son-in-law Mark Delucchi, his three grandchildren and many other close friends and family.
A memorial will be held Saturday, June 7 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the San Jose Fire Museum, 1661 Senter Road, Building D1 in San Jose.
