Adriana Grisole Di Pietro

Adriana Grisole Di Pietro
November 16, 1953 to October 17, 2014
Friends and family will gather on Friday, Nov. 7 to say farewell to their wonderful wife, mother, and friend, Adriana Di Pietro, who passed away peacefully on Oct. 17 at her Scotts Valley home following a brave battle that she waged against cancer.
Born in Pirovano, Argentina, she and her husband Tito have been residents of Santa Cruz County for the past 23 years.
Adriana worked as a real estate agent with American Dream Realty in Capitola for 2 years. She also worked for a time at Scotts Valley’s branch of Bank of America, and for the Santa Cruz County Elections Department.
She will forever be remembered as prayerful, Christian woman who leaves many dear friends and colleagues in various prayer groups that she belonged to.
Adriana was a member of Twin Lakes Church, and formerly attended Santa Cruz Bible Church, and Gateway Church in Scotts Valley.
She loved her home, and enjoyed her role as a mother who was very active in her son’s education and upbringing.
Adriana was a familiar face at Baymonte Christian School, where she was a yard duty attendant, and enjoyed the moments she was able to keep a watchful eye on her beloved son who attended school there.
She is survived by her husband of 33 years, Tito Di Pietro, and her son, Nick Di Pietro —both of Scotts Valley.
She also leaves her brothers; Ricardo and Carlos Rigattieri, and her sisters; Clara Iniguez and Elsa Lujan, all residing in Argentina.
A memorial farewell ceremony is planned for Friday, Nov. 7, at Monschke Hall on the Twin Lakes Church Campus (2701 Cabrillo College Drive) beginning at 1 p.m.
She will be laid to rest in a private ceremony beside her late father-in-law, Santos Di Pietro, prior to the memorial farewell.
In lieu of flowers, any kind acts of charity can be made to Hospice of Santa Cruz County (940 Disc Drive, Scotts Valley, CA 95066).
