Charles “Chuck” Scott

August 16, 1934 to February 24, 2015
Charles “Chuck” Scott passed away on the morning of Feb. 24, 2015 sitting peacefully in his yard enjoying an unclouded day.
He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend. Born in Alhambra, Calif., in 1934, he attended Wilson High School in nearby El Sereno.
In 1955, he married Claudia, the love of his life, whom he met in grammar school.
He moved to Ben Lomond with his wife and children in 1966.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Claudia; his children Jill, Greg, Wendy, and Karen Scott, Shari Petersen, Erik Scott, and Tina Hunt.
He is also survived by his grandchildren Shannon and Joseph McNickle, Travis Baird and Marie Pilipenko, Tanner Clark, Jake and Casey Gombos, and Tyler Petersen. His great-grandchildren, Caleb and Ethan McNickle, survive him as well.
He was a Cub Scout Master for Pack 654, a Boy Scout Master for Troop 688, Little League coach, 4-H camp counselor, and had a project building a telescope.
He was a member of the Cabrillo Astronomy Club, Agricultural History Project, Yesterday’s Farm — where he was the other half of Claudia’s Kitchen at the Fair, EDGE & TA, ATHS, SASS.
A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, March 21, 2015 from 12 to 3 p.m. at the Ben Lomond Fire House. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Agricultural History Project at PO Box 1181, Watsonville, CA 95076.
