Frank Faust Miller

Friends and family will gather Saturday, for a ceremony to honor the life of Scotts Valley resident Frank Miller who died peacefully in Santa Cruz. He was 89.
Born in Los Angeles, Mr. Miller moved to the Santa Cruz area 52 year ago, and worked as an engineer with Lockheed. His career in aerospace spanned 37 years and he left a host of friends and colleagues.
Family will remember Mr. Miller as a dedicated father and grandfather. He and his wife Nancy Lee Miller adopted four children all from different circumstances.
He was a lifetime member of the Soquel High Boosters Club and his involvement in the Booster’s Bingo Games was instrumental to fund the football stadium and all-weather track at the high school.
He was an avid reader, and volunteered his time at the Porter Memorial Library in Soquel, and served on its board of directors. Mr. Miller also volunteered at the Santa Cruz Public Library, and was a former member of Santa Cruz S.I.R.S.
He loved sports of all kinds, particularly when it was his children or grandchildren competed.
Mr. Miller was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy Lee Miller in 1993, and is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Russ and Brenda Miller of Scotts Valley; son John Miller of Santa Cruz; daughter and son-in-law Cecilia and Ross Fuller of Scotts Valley; and his daughter Gretchen Miller of Aptos. He also leaves his dear friend and companion, Donna Nation of Scotts Valley, and five grandchildren.
The ceremony will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 29 at Benito and Azzaro Pacific Gardens Chapel in Santa Cruz.
He will be laid to rest in a private ceremony beside his late wife Nancy, at Santa Cruz Memorial Park. Any kind acts of charity can be made in his memory to Hospice of Santa Cruz County, 940 Disc Drive, Scotts Valley, CA 95066.
