Kline Wesley (Wes) Gidcumb

A memorial service will be held Saturday, Sept. 28 for Kline Wesley (Wes) Gidcumb who died in Ben Lomond. He was 70.
Mr. Gidcumb was born in Plainview, Texas and as a young man enjoyed mountain climbing, long-distance bike riding, running, hiking, camping and anything to do with aeronautics.
He moved to Santa Cruz County in 1989, living in the area for 24 years before his death.
In his later years, he loved to play ping-pong, take walks around the neighborhood and spent many hours studying and reading the Bible. He was an active member of High Street Community Church, and loved Thursday morning men’s Bible study.
He is survived by his wife Mabel Gidcumb of Ben Lomond; children Darren Gidcumb and Susan Gidcumb; five brothers; one sister; two grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by sister Billie Mullins.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 28 at High Street Community Church, 850 High Street in Santa Cruz.
