Services will be held on Saturday, Oct. 25 for Larry Reed Christman of Santa Cruz who passed away on Oct. 4, following an accident that occurred on Sept. 15.
Larry was born in Huntington Woods, Michigan.
He graduated from Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo. Larry was a local contractor building from the San Lorenzo Valley to Santa Cruz.
He clearly demonstrated his passion and excitement in his work. Outside of the business of building homes, he enjoyed boating on Lake Tahoe aboard his Century Coronado “Clueless Crew.”
His larger-than-life personality and boundless energy will be missed but never forgotten.
Larry is survived by June, his wife of 47 years, and his daughter Denise King (Paul).
He has three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
He is also survived by his sister, Shirley Blanton of Long Beach, and her children. Larry was preceded in death by his son, David James of Willows, Calif.
A memorial service celebrating Larry’s life will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 25, at Santa Cruz Memorial, located at 1927 Ocean Street in Santa Cruz.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations in Larry’s honor be made to Hospice of Santa Cruz County (940 Disc Drive, Scotts Valley, CA 95066).
