Mark Lee Farmer

A celebration of life will take place in June for former Scotts Valley resident Mark “Bobby” Lee Farmer Sr. who died at Dominican Hospital following a 3-year fight with health issues. He was 65.
Mr. Farmer was born in Redwood City to Robert and Edith Farmer. He attended San Lorenzo Valley schools and enlisted in the U.S. army, serving from 1969 to 1972 where he reached the rank of Private E-4.
He owned his own business, Farmer Gardening Service until 1994, and was then employed by Mountain School and Happy Valley School doing maintenance, janitorial and grounds keeping until his retirement. He was known as a hard-working family man.
His family lived in Scotts Valley until moving to Watsonville in 2012.
Mr. Farmer is survived by his wife of 41 years, Frances E. Farmer of Watsonville; daughter Michelle Farmer-Colombe and her husband Lou of Watsonville; one granddaughter; his sister Toni Rhodes and her husband Josh, brothers Dean Farmer and Steven Michael, and aunt and multiple nieces and nephews.
He was proceeded in death by son Mark Lee Farmer Jr. and sister Louise Rosin.
The family thanked the physicians who cared for him during his last years.
A celebration of life will be held from noon to 6 p.m. Saturday June 7 at the Corralitos Grange Hall, 165 Little Corral Way, Watsonville, CA 95076.
In lieu of flowers, the family is creating a memorial area at the family’s home.
