Richard Louis Stautz, a resident of Santa Cruz County for more than 30 years, died June 10, 2014 in Felton. He was 61.
Born in Los Angeles, Stautz loved the beach, the redwoods, music, motorcycles, art, and his girls.
He was an engineer, an artist, and a wonderful friend. Rick generously shared his compassion, humor, and love with the world.
Stautz is survived by his wife, Vindy Stautz; daughters Ricki Lee Stautz and Asia Mei Stautz; and sister Dayle Brandon.
A memorial service is scheduled for Saturday, June 21 at 3 p.m. at Santa Cruz Memorial, located at 3301 Paul Sweet Road in Santa Cruz.
