Ruby Christine Ramsay (Towery)

April 6, 1928 to April 28, 2015
Ruby passed to eternal life with Jesus Christ on April 28, 2015. She was born in Junction City, Oregon and raised in McFarland, California.
Diagnosed with tuberculosis of the spine, Ruby was forced to live in a body cast for one year and was a featured Easter Seals poster child. Ruby attended BIOLA University. She was married to Robert George Ramsay for 53 years.
Ruby and Bob founded the First Baptist Church of San Lorenzo Valley and eventually became missionaries to U.S. Servicemen in Monterey for 30 years. Husband Bob passed from earth in 2009.
Ruby is survived by son Thomas ‘Tom’ Mark Ramsay, his wife Debra, and their two sons Craig Tyler and Nathan Thomas of Corvallis, Oregon. Also survived by daughter Cynthia ‘Cyndi’ Joy Mummert, her husband John Mummert, and son Gavin Ramsay Mummert of Gilroy. Bob and Ruby are buried together at the San Joaquin National Cemetery in Santa Nella. A private ceremony is planned for June.
