William James Maize

May 28, 1930 to February 11, 2015
William James “Bill” Maize was born in Newton, Kan. on May 28, 1930, and went to be with the Lord on Feb. 11, 2015 in San Jose.
His siblings included sisters, Floreine (Shearer), JoAnn (Straughn), Carol (Braun) and brother Wilbur Maize.
He is survived by Iris, his wife of 59 years; sons Randal (Terri) of Apple Valley, Loren of Queens Creek, Ariz., Ronald (Heidi) of Soquel, Lawrence of San Jose, and daughter Tami Lugmair (Claus) of Santa Cruz.
He was blessed with his eight grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and many, many nieces and nephews and loved them all dearly.
A memorial service will be held in his memory on Sunday afternoon, March 8 at 3:30 p.m. at the Mount Hermon Conference Center, where he worked and lived for 20 years. All are welcome. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Book of Remembrance at Mount Hermon in memory of Bill Maize.
