Volunteers need for youth football

The Santa Cruz County Police Activities League (SCCPAL) is looking for volunteers who are passionate about youth football to help in their upcoming season.
The volunteer information meeting is at 6:30 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 25,  at Tony and Alba’s Pizza in Scotts Valley. Without new support there is a chance this organization may close, said SCCPAL President Steve Walpole. For more information, contact

For the past 15 years, more than 1,000 players, ages 6-14, have participated.
SCCPAL is a non-profit organization and depends on donations to keep registration costs low.
