The ninth annual San Lorenzo Valley Poetry Reading will take place at 7 p.m. Thursday, April 25 in Felton.
The free event will take place at Felton Community Hall, 6191 Highway 9.
Santa Cruz County Poet Laureate David Swanger will read from his own poetry and then introduce local poets to read original poems he has selected on the theme of “Food.” The entries are from poems submitted in four age categories.  
Also being read are favorite poems of Evan Borthwick, the owner of Redwood Pizzeria, Teresa Landers, Director, Santa Cruz Public Libraries, Karen van Putten, the Principal of San Lorenzo Valley High School, David Wright, the Director of SLV Redemption & Recycling Centers and Donna Ziel of Cabrillo College Governing Board, Area 1.
The event is put on by Felton Library Friends. Refreshments will be served.
