Driver hits San Lorenzo Valley Water District Building

An elderly woman passed out and lost control of her vehicle. The car hit a trailer that was parked in front of the Boulder Creek Brewery, went up on the side walk and hit the SLVWD office building at 13060 Highway 9, Boulder Creek. The car was stopped by a no parking sign and an SLVWD truck. 

San Lorenzo Valley Water District holds special meeting

San Lorenzo Valley Water District seeks comments on the Draft 2010 Urban Water Management Plan. A scheduled public hearing by the SLVWD Board of Directors to adopt the UWMP will be held on July 16, 2015 at 7 p.m. at the SLVWD office located at 13067 Highway 9, Boulder Creek, CA 95006.

True Tales writing group celebrates sixth anniversary

On the first Tuesday of each month, the True Tales writers meet at the Scotts Valley Library to read their stories and to receive and give constructive criticism. Today, they met to celebrate the sixth year that the group has met. Today, their celebration was held at the home of Carolyn Fitz in Scotts Valley.

Some might consider activities involving horses as being only for those with strong arms and legs. After all, these animals are large and the movies suggest that a John Wayne or Clint Eastwood type is required to control them. However, these movies don’t show the really special attributes of a horse that may be unknown too many: horses are ideal for providing equine therapy for people with a variety of special needs.
