The Mountain Gardener: Fall tips and chores for a healthy garden

I never want summer to end. Who doesn't love those long days and warm nights? The calendar might say fall is near, but Indian summer is one of our best seasons so I love this time of year. Our home phone rang day and night and Dad frequently left his comfortable home and much-needed sleep to go make a house call, admit someone to the hospital, or deliver a baby

“My two sisters and I always wanted to swim, but I never dreamed that one day I’d be standing on top of the Olympic podium with the gold medal around my neck,” said Linda McGuire of Santa Cruz. “I felt overwhelmed with gratitude for my teammates, friends and coach—but especially for my dad. What he gave me was far better than gold.”

Talk About Money: Sales tax benefits outweigh costs
