When we think of girls track records at San Lorenzo Valley High School, we think of Ale Barrientos, Lindsay Scarborough, and Taylor Johnson. But a few years before the Rob Collins era took hold in Valley, one girl stood apart from the rest: Jennie Warfield of the graduating class of 1996.

Lyla Davis Rebbert was born to Allison Britt (Holmes) and Travis Dylan Rebbert of Ben Lomond at 2:22 a.m. July 21, 2011. She weighed 7 pounds, 8 ounces at Sutter Maternity and Surgery Center in Santa Cruz.

Softball races heat up

Playoffs are nearing in the San Lorenzo Valley IOOF/SLV summer softball league. In the men’s league, the Flingers have proven themselves by starting the season undefeated but have dropped a few games since.
