Staff reporter Michelle Camerlingo has left the Press-Banner after spending more than a year on the job.
She returns to Southern California to take a position writing for a medical clinic.
“Michelle’s strong writing was a boon to our local coverage,” editor Peter Burke said. “She’s a good reporter who’s not afraid to take on any story. Her engaging writing style drew in readers and expressed what our valleys are all about.”
Camerlingo joined the Press-Banner staff in August 2009 as a general assignment reporter. She covered the Scotts Valley City Council, crime and feature stories, among many other duties.
The Press-Banner is in the process of hiring two half-time reporters to fill out its news and sports staff.
