Bonny Doon and part of Boulder Creek will be affected by rolling road closures on Monday, May 14 as 128 professional cyclists pedal through the area as part of the AMGEN Tour of California.
The race begins in San Francisco and ends at Cabrillo College in Aptos, but “rolling” road closures will affect valley residents in the afternoon.
Here is a schedule of the temporary closures and the estimated time they will be closed. Organizers warn that the times are approximate, but that the roads will open to normal traffic as the race passes each intersection.
- Northbound Highway 1 at Bonny Doon Road at 1 p.m.
- North and southbound Bonny Doon Road at 1 p.m.

- Jamison Creek Road between Empire Grade Road and Highway 236 at 1:30 p.m.
- Highway 236 between Jamison Creek and Highway 9 at 1:45 p.m.

- Soquel San Jose Road between Summit and Soquel Drive at 2:15 p.m.

Organizers note that oncoming traffic will be stopped 20 minutes before the race and that all driveways exiting onto the course will be closed as the race passes.
The finish line is at Cabrillo College in Aptos. However, with impacted parking, a shuttle will be running from the Capitola Mall parking lot throughout the day.
