Here is a look at compensation for elected officials in Scotts Valley and the San Lorenzo Valley:
Scotts Valley City Council
Council members are paid a stipend of $488.67 per month. Their medical premiums are paid 100 percent for family coverage. They are included in the life insurance policy, but not disability.
Scotts Valley Water District Directors
Directors receive $200 per board meeting or full-day event such as a conference and $100 per committee meeting or half-day event such as a training course. The district reimburses the directors for their health insurance premiums.
San Lorenzo Valley Water District Directors
Directors receive $100 per board meeting, not to exceed $600 in any calendar month, and $25 per committee meeting.
SLV Unified School District Board of Trustees
Trustees receive $250 per month, plus the option of partially-paid health insurance.
Scotts Valley Unified School District Board of Trustees
Board members do not receive stipends nor health or other benefits.
