BOULDER CREEK — Scopazzi’s Restaurant will host the annual San Lorenzo Valley Museum Fundraising Dinner on Thursday, June 19. The event’s proceeds will benefit the San Lorenzo Valley Museum in Boulder Creek.
Auctioneer Rob Slawinski will conduct a live auction, which features a one-week stay at a private home in Kona; a private tour for a minimum of eight of the Canepa Car Museum – plus a tour of the garage shop, which is not open to the public; a stainless steel gas barbecue with extra burner; bottles of signed Ahlgren wine and more.
A silent auction will include a one-and-one-half hour Segway tour of Santa Cruz; artisan works by local artisans; entertainment packages; family packages; restaurant certificates and more.
“This is a fun, eagerly anticipated annual event that generates much-needed funds that go toward keeping the museum open to the public on a donation basis, rather than charging an entrance fee,” said Lynda Phillips, the museum’s executive director.
The funds also sponsor local historian lectures about San Lorenzo Valley history, underwrite school field trips, bring in traveling exhibits from nationally recognized and local museums, and more.
The event begins at 6 p.m. with a no-host bar and silent auction. The dinner and live auction begin at 7 p.m. Tickets are $40 in advance and $45 at the door and may be purchased at the museum or through its website www.slvmuseum.com.
