To provide evacuated residents being impacted by ongoing storms, the Santa Cruz County Office of Response, Recovery and Resilience, in partnership with the City of Scotts Valley and City of Watsonville, have opened temporary evacuation points (TEPs) at the Scotts Valley Community Center, 360 Kings Village Road, Scotts Valley, and the Watsonville Senior Center, 114 E. Fifth St., Watsonville.

TEPs operate as vehicle-access shelters, where evacuees may utilize available 24-hour parking spaces for the active duration of the TEP, as well as use of the indoor facilities. Use of bathrooms and the ability to charge electrical devices will be made available to TEP site users as available.

TEP sites are open to all Santa Cruz County residents evacuated from their homes due to storms. The site is intended to be a safe harbor for evacuees with no other shelter or accommodation option, until they are able to return to their homes or find other accommodations.
