Three hundred cyclists, both pros and amateurs, raced a 1-mile loop down Scotts Valley Drive and onto El Pueblo Road and Carbonero Way today for the inaugural Scotts Valley Grand Prix.
The finish line was at 4900 Scotts Valley Drive, with a cycling expo in the adjacent parking lot.
The race took place just a day before the start of the Amgen Tour of California, which will take riders from San Francisco to Santa Cruz, by way of Bonny Doon Road, on Tuesday.
