The Scotts Valley High School varsity wrestling team topped Soquel 58-18 in duel meet action on Wednesday, Jan. 29 at Aptos High School.
Domino Parrish won 10-2 at 122 pounds, Michael Sandoval won 7-0 at 128 pounds, Josh Blum pinned his opponent in the first period at 134, Nick Reyes won 8-3 at147 pounds, and Doug Peyser pinned his opponent in the first at 172 pounds.
Thor Oglesby, Addy Johnson, Baldan Dashiev, Frankie Graves, Sean Stiles and Casey Gombos won by bye for the Falcons.
SLV fell 66-18 to a powerful Aptos squad. For the Cougars Jason Silva at 113 pounds, Sotero Torralba at 160 pounds and Kurt Lambaren at 222 pounds each pinned their opponents.
