Hackett

 
 
A celebration of life will be held for former San Lorenzo Valley High School teacher and artist Shirley “Jean” Hackett who died in Capitola. She was 73.
Mrs. Hackett was born in Kern County to parents Leander and Cosma Formway. She lived in Ben Lomond for 39 years.
Mrs. Hackett was a SLV High School teacher, master painter and basket weaver and the co-owner of Hackett Woodcarving and Baskets with her husband, Bill Hackett.
She is survived by her husband Bill of Ben Lomond; Children Kirt Hackett of Ben Lomond, Kelley Hackett of Avery; her sister Paula Anderson of Pacifica and three grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents and her sister Marilyn Walters.
A celebration of life will be 1 p.m. Saturday, June 8 at The River House, 200 Holiday Lane in Ben Lomond.
