Shirley M. Pilgrim, 96 of Felton, California, beloved wife, mother and grandmother was called home to her prepared room in heaven on November 22, 2024, two days shy of her 97th birthday.

Shirley was born in Vancouver, Canada and came to the United States with her family when she was young. She was a minister’s daughter therefore she moved around a lot. Shirley adapted to new places while growing up, from living in Ventura, Wasco, Fontana, Long Beach with a few places in between. She ended up in Long Beach where she went to community college and then married Frank Pilgrim, had children and moved to Felton in 1965.

Shirley was a faith filled woman and a devout Christian. She spent her life volunteering in the church, from being an elder, usher, Sunday school teacher, choir, Women’s Association, lunch bunch, bible study, just shy of giving the sermon, she was a part of the Felton Presbyterian Church her entire life. She was an avid tennis player, won many tournaments and was a good golfer. She was very sports oriented and athletic, and she loved her 49ers.

Shirley is survived by her two children, John Pilgrim and Theresa and Liz Iorio and Greg, plus 3 grandchildren, Jake, Ben and Joe, in addition to many loving nieces, great nieces, nephews and great nephews.

Memorial services will be held after the first of the year, 2025 at Felton Presbyterian Church, 6090 Highway 9, Felton, Ca. Contact them for the date and time.
