EDITOR,
I just wanted to take a quick moment to commend and share personal gratitude to those amazing friends and angels to the community at Valley Churches United Missions of San Lorenzo Valley.
These folks work so hard every year to gather together food, monies and donations to bring a little cheer to the children of families and seniors living in the San Lorenzo Valley who have been touched by troubled times and matched their humble Christmas wishes with a glorious outpouring of generosity, given with both hands open, by both caring and loving individuals as well as local businesses reaching out — so that the hope and joy of the season are not lost among the underprivileged.
Really, it all glorifies the idea that within our very own community we can get together on this one thing and resolve ourselves to unite in love and celebration for all— the entire body of the community, and give of ourselves the time, and thought to share a little sweet magic! Because of this group effort we can all share in the miracle of Christmas!
I am amazed and humbled by the gentle touch and even the complex inner-working machinations of Valley Churches, its members, volunteers, and those who donate, and I celebrate those endeavors.
And so, formally, I wish to thank them all. And on behalf of the kids, thank you Valley Churches United Mission! The Santa spirit is real and present here in our Community!
