Shout-out: Kudos to staff of Ideal Hair

I would like to give a huge shout out of thanks to Laurie and her staff at Ideal Hair in Scotts Valley. On Saturday, March 1, Laurie and her staff donated their time to give hair cuts and color, facials and products to the women of Siena House, a maternity home for women that are pregnant and in crisis in Santa Cruz. Ideal Hair pampered seven women to whatever their hearts desired. I am a volunteer at Siena House and came on Saturday to help with the babies. It was so uplifting to see the girls confidence rise as they transformed their looks and also to see them relax and be taken care of. Best of all was the amazement of the girls that people would go out of their way to do something for them, for free. (Ladies, we know what it costs to get pampered this way!) They got to experience first hand what it feels like when people give back to their communities. What a great gift you gave to these women, a day I am quite sure they will not forget, nor will I!
