EDITOR,
On Wednesday, March 5 at 5 a.m., several hundred families that live up Lockhart Gulch Road in Scotts Valley, lost electricity and access out, due to a huge fallen tree across the main road, just below Geyer Road.
With so many people needing to get to work or school, our wonderful neighbors at Mission Springs Conference Center opened up their usually locked back road gate to Nelson Road, welcoming all who needed access out.
They even stationed their friendly staff at both ends of this detour to facilitate the cars in and out of this one lane road.
When I rolled my window down to say “thanks so much,” they responded with a wave and a “have a nice day!”
With the removal of the tree off the road and repairs to power lines taking over nine hours, a huge shout out of thanks to Mission Springs Conference Center! What a neighbor indeed!
